This BBVA initiative is an invitation to grow as a society. It is a platform for some of the world’s brightest minds, who encourage us to strive for a more inclusive society that respects the planet through useful and inspiring messages. I have been fortunate enough to collaborate with the project for several years on sustainability campaigns such as La España Azul, as well as various conferences. We are united in our belief that when knowledge is put at the service of the common good, it has the power to transform the world.
IE is one of the world’s top-ranked private universities, a symbol of innovation, sustainability and excellence. I have collaborated with it for years on various projects, including challenges with students, photo exhibitions and talks.
It is a privilege to contribute to the dialogue with the people who will lead tomorrow’s change.
TEDx is a platform where ideas travel without borders, spreading and sharing inspiring and educational ideas with millions of people around the world, acting as a catalyst for change among individuals and communities under the slogan ‘Ideas change everything’.
I have been a speaker at the prestigious TEDx events on three occasions.
The most influential publishing house in the Spanish-speaking world, leader in the publishing market in Spain and Latin America, with whom I have published my two books: Libre y salvaje (Free and Wild) and La llamada del océano (The Call of the Ocean).
My books are testimony to a life journey, written with skin weathered by the elements and a soul full of gratitude.
Few experiences connect so closely with the spirit of adventure and commitment as The Ocean Race.
I have collaborated with this iconic round-the-world yacht race for my latest scientific expeditions, La España Azul and Portugal Azul.
Wearing Ternua means wearing consistency. Its garments, designed to withstand the elements, speak the same language as my expeditions: real sustainability, deep respect for nature and adventure with purpose. Ternua not only accompanies my steps, but also those of leading figures such as Sebastián Álvaro and Edurne Pasabán, with whom I share values and commitment. Each garment is made from recycled materials and designed to be reintegrated into the cycle when its useful life ends. Thus, what begins in the mountains returns to the earth without leaving a trace.

I am a proud member of Rotary, an international organisation that has been building bridges between cultures and connecting continents for more than a century, working for peace, eradicating disease, fighting illiteracy and poverty around the world and, in recent years, working to protect the environment.
I collaborate with Speedo, a technical brand specialising in the aquatic environment, on expeditions. Their products provide the comfort and freedom of movement that I require when I am in the water for extended periods of time.
They are a practical ally in projects such as La España Azul, where I am in constant contact with the sea.
I use Suunto devices to record and track my expeditions. I am particularly interested in their reliability in natural environments and their usefulness when collecting data on long journeys.
