Nacho Dean receives the Climate Activism Award at the Third Forever Green Gala

On Tuesday, I had a very special moment. I received the Climate Activism Award at the third Forever Green Gala, which was held at the CaixaForum in Seville. This recognition moves me deeply because it stems from a respect for the planet that I have carried with me since I first set out as an explorer.

The Forever Green Foundation, promoted by Real Betis football club, has honoured me with this prize in recognition of my career as an adventurer dedicated to environmental causes. From walking around the world to swimming between continents to expeditions such as La España Azul and Portugal Azul, everything I have done has had the same purpose: to give back to the world what it has given me and to contribute to a more global and humane consciousness through action.

The gala was supported by the Andalusian Regional Government and UN Climate Change, and featured inspiring speeches by Sergio Arjona and Lindita Xhaferi. It was an honour to share the stage with National Geographic, Javier Peña and the Seville Aquarium, among others, who are doing great and necessary things.

Thank you to the Forever Green Foundation for believing in the power of experience-based messages. Thank you also to everyone who shares my commitment to caring for the planet as if our lives depended on it. Because, in reality, they do.
